Weather in Stanley

We have had quite a cold spell here in the Falklands last week.

The local press reported that 43 centimetres of snow fell in the week.

We had windchill of minus 15 degrees with average temperatures around minus 5 degrees. Not good!

Box filling is still ongoing. If I were going to take everything back to Scotland, I would have over 12 boxes. My thoughts last night were to limit myself to 6 large boxes and take no more....

I would obviously have to leave some stuff behind. It might be a good way forward and make me more determined to get rid of so much junk.

I have now sold my Mitsubishi Pajero to a fellow colleague. I will miss her! Thanks to a friend who has offered me the use of his second vehicle to tide me over for the next 5 weeks. Much appreciated...

Today is absolutely gorgeous outside. The sky is blue, no wind and temperatures of 3.9 degrees C. A heat wave!
